January VPN Updates

IAPS Security has been very busy preparing for 2016, and they have a lot of updates for us. IAPS now boasts the biggest residential proxy network on the entire globe, but that’s not all they have accomplished lately. IAPS Security also has new relay networks good to go, has launched a new forum that is up and running well, and is offering an RDP package for Facebook marketers, all within this month. Other provider StrongVPN launched an update for their OS X app last week, and ExpressVPN updated their iOS app.

IAPS Security Relay Networks, Community Forum and RDP Package

IAPS ended the last year as the proud manager of the largest residential proxy program in the world. The dream began when the need for better TV programming became too great to ignore. TV has been controlled by corporate interests and limited by what deals can be made. Even in the age of the Internet, watching shows is not free because countries have rules about what content can be viewed outside and content rights owners drive a hard bargain. VPNs, DNS setups and proxies helped, but IAPS wanted an easy, reasonably priced and permanent solution to viewing woes. The IAPS Security system does not require any software or DNS modifications and works on a wide range of devices including TV boxes and mobile phones.

IAPS has built its residential system, now 10 million strong, to avoid the use of commercial IPs, and their speeds are awesome. The system works 24/7 connecting through thousands of networked systems to ensure that there are no interruptions. For just 250 US dollars per quarter, users can enjoy using any and all proxies that are associated with a country package. With that, users can browse using the real residential IP addresses of that country and so avoid any questions from services used and not meet any website errors due to faulty proxy settings or server failures.

The new IAPS Security relay networks in the US and UK are ready to use. This new TV network type is the simplest implementation yet, not requiring software-based VPN networks. The UK system uses Canadian and French relay stations to speed up the already 350 Mbps speeds. Europe will be served by the gigabit relay in France and North America will be served y the gigabit relay in Canada.

The new IAPS forum is also now up and running and provides a lot of useful information to users. You can visit it at www.intl-alliance.com/forum/index.php. There are already several topics of general interest and quite a few on specific issues that streaming and TV buffs will appreciate. Last week, IAPS began offering a Remote Desktop System package for 100 US dollars that is aimed at Facebook ad marketers. The package is designed to meet the particular needs of these marketers and includes a Windows 10, 8.1, or 7 system with 2 gigs of RAM and 8 processor cores plus a Chrome set residential IP proxy (Pre-setup for Chrome)

StrongVPN OS X Updates

StrongVPN has recently updated their VPN app for OS X users. The update, client version 1.6.0, includes some nice new features to go along with the upgrades. First, desktop users can now log in straight from the app and save their logins for easy future access. New users can also link their desktop interfaces with the StrongVPN website for ease of access. Once logged in, users will see the new interface main screen which immediately gives them their connection and account information. They can then change their server with an easy click through to the server options or go to their account pages. Upgrades are also available through this main page. The VPN client menu allows users to change their connection preferences, control the client and change how they log in, all without leaving the app. The available preferences include protocol options and server switching, which can be used together to create profiles for different activities and change servers if the desired protocol is not available.

ExpressVPN iOS App Update

ExpressVPN has also updated one of their apps, this time for iOS users. Version 4.8 takes care of the issues that users have reported and also adds new features that are going to be great. ExpressVPN always gathers the feedback of their users and includes these in their app upgrades. If you are an ExpressVPN user and you have an idea for something new or some adjustments to make your experience better, the ExpressVPN team is open to receiving all your suggestions.

The first new feature is the split view that will make things so much more convenient for users on iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro. The ExpressVPN app can now run alongside another app that allows this feature so that adjustments to server selections, protocols and what-not can be done without having to navigate back to the device’s main screen. Ain’t multitasking great? Apple has even provided a tutorial on its support website for how to manage their split view feature.

The second new feature is the upgraded search function. iOS users have been waiting for his to roll out after Android got it a couple months back, and it’s finally available to them. Users don’t have to scroll anymore and can just type in a country or city name to see the servers that are available there. Users can also then connect directly from among the search results. Just look for your device’s search icon and you are on your way.
